Enactment Diary-30th Dec '06

Its 11.30 here and i'm blogging for the record.
I never really did share christmas eve in my last blog since it was only like 4 when i blogged then. After I went off, I helped my dad clean the house cos we were gonna have guests and twas the start of a great christmas.
Lisa, Luca and Auntie Hwee Leng came by at about 5-ish that day. Luca's 12, Lisa's my age, Auntie Hwee Leng, who was A. Mei's junior in uni, is 2 years younger than A. Mei. We Played boggle all night until dinner at about 7-ish. Sushi was on the menu with beef and ribs. I had 2 glasses of wine (red) that night. Mike was getting bored cos he couldnt play with us and he wanted to play twister. No way mate!
Anyway after dinner, we tuned in to 5 and watched love actually. A candid moment it was. Lisa, Megan and I on the 2 seater, Luca was upstairs on maple or something, Dad and A.Mei on the floor, and A. Hwee Leng on the single couch, All fixed on a screen with coversations darting about the actors. I learnt that they were from italy and were here for a week. This was their 2nd day or something.
It wasnt long before megan started shouting.. Christmas! I didnt belive her cos i was too engrossed in the love stories to take notice that it was already 12.15. We had already opened our presents earlier so... yea. present count later. Anyway, I gave a toast to 'a merry christmas and a great year ahead'. Then we went to sleep. A. Hwee Leng and gang slept downstairs on mattresses as Megan, Mike and I went up to... er.. sleep on mattresses. We said our good nights and sweet deams as I went to sleep as an accomplished man with new friends that christmas night.
Nex morning, i woke up, took a bath as usual, and went down, suprised to see lisa up so early. She said the day before that she was no morning person so i made her a milo as we sat down and talked. She soon got engrossed in the book she got the day before so i left her to it as i made a dragon out of legos. The rest of the day went by as we went for breakfast at the prata shop.
Eventually, We made our way to aunty Sharon's place for lunch. I drew them a nice mistletoe for christmas and gave them my sketchbook. They accepted it gratefully. It wa Chix rive for luch o.O. It was nice because we were talking quite alot. We played with the Shnauzer named Joy and she was so cute and cuddly! Soon after, we had to leave. It would have been our last time we saw each other so i made sure i made a long goodbye. We exchanged e-mails and all.
Then we went bowling with my new cousins. I owned in 1 game, got owned in another. Wont share the scores. We went to Jumbo after that and i made 2 more toasts. 1 the same as the first, the next was to 'the most number of contacts made in one month'. It was a really long day and i missed lisa and all for the rest of the week until yesterday.
I was to see them off in the evening but we were left waiting there until late until a rather familiar voice called from behind to ask to go help out with the luggage. We met up together as one big group. Another candid moment...
We sat at the nearby cafe and had a drink. Lisa and I were just sharing about our school times and the time difference and our iPod songs and a friend of hers who never heard of LP.
Before I knew it, let alone finish my drink, They had to be on their way. I stood near the doors and said yet another long goodbye before they left for the second and last time. I had to be Late for Bradleys dinner to see them off so i rushed back and made it just in time to have another pint of beer. Bad and I talked, played football, talked somemore and i was off back home. I wont tell you what i said so dont bother.
Today was boring. Stayed at home all day until night when we went to U. Nick's place for dinner. Mum thot of staying over and it somehow reminded me of Xmas Eve. Then we went back cos we decided not to stay so here i am, blogging. Now, 12.38 reads my com.

Enactment Diary-24th Dec '06

AGR happened yesterday and damn it was one heck of an AGR. From the top shall we?
The day kicked of with practice of my play in the hall when Adrian Mark arrived. My play was the Nativity in Singapore. Guess what. I had to play as Mary. ANYWAY. We practiced their scene for about 7 times through with breaks in the middle before i had to give the stage up for the caroling boys. Corey was getting tired so i took over him as director for the caroling. Gabriel, Adrian and all my other actors were busy with decorations so i didnt have much time to run through with them again. It was like this the day before. we cleared 2000 chairs from the hall before going home. there was practically no time at all to practice the skit.
Finally it was 1 o'clock. Curia started in the heritage room while the rest of us did our thing in the hall. we carried the food up, finallised the schedule, touched up the decor, until the rain came... then charles' obstacle course had to be scraped. We tried to make one indoors but it was too dangerous. Why dont they LISTEN to my idea of a TRUST FALL!!! too late now though.
Then, the games started. I was stuck at the pass the parcel game and bryan kept saboing me at first. I had to hold hands with this SAC gal until at one forfiet, i had to sign on a guys arm. me, being leftie, was holding her hand with my left hand so when my turn came to sign, i signed and never held back. lol. At the end, i had to dance with yet another gal... bryan... but it was good fun though...
After lunch all the SJI idiots left for no reason... damn them. We only had 3 other performances by the other schools and SJI didnt even contribute... Sad Jonathan had to be from there and not SPS. ANYWAY, we had PnW before the concert and our skit was put first since we were the host. the audience loved it. I was talking to some SAC gals after and they commented that it was really cool for me to act as Mary. Took me by suprise u noe. I was showing thm to the toilet so we chated a bit. I shared about my CCA and all. I was going to get the prizes actually but i offered to show them to the loos.
It was then thier turn to perform soon after and first it was just the gal i was talking to standing all alone on stage. She was beautiful I admit, and like any other girl, she was shy on stage. But then, when she sang, I heard the most beautiful voice i have ever heard. It all changed you know. The athmosphere changed around me. I suppose the song is more powerful than the average word. I could have fallen in love and i think i almost did. If she sang a bit longer, i would have i think. After their performance, I affirmed her though i didnt get to talk with her alot.
The concert ended with funny renditions of songs, a comedic 'musical' by CJC, and curia officers' "all for love" which was quite funny too. In the end, The prizes were to be given. I came up with the other brother mike and gave the prizes accordingly with a few goofs here and there. We won second and undoubtedly, SAC got first. I hope that girl had the most ferreros among the gals cos she really deserved it mate. I cannot stress it anymore but she is Excellent.
We Ended with caroling. Oliver, That girl, another girl and I i think, we sang together and ended with party poppers.
SAC left with me seeing them out, CJC stayed to help us clear up the place and I? well i basically was lost in my mind. Before i left i had a chat with Anne. She was writing Christmas cards to people and she gave me a candy cane. It dawned to me that.. I havent written christmas cards yet.. I owe everyone one i think. We all deserve one for a year well done.

Cheers, Markyc

Enactment Diary-3rd Dec '06

Am back once again on the blog. A lot of things have been happening the past fortnight so.. ya.
Open house 2006 happened about a week ago and i was supposed to be a tour guide on that day and it was very fun considering how poorly managed it was. The science lab was the worst. We didnt even know that there was going to be a station there until the very last minute! in the end it took like 20 mins of our time! we only had an hour to do the tour! Ricardo kept telling us to take initiative so i did la. Jerry kept being tagged on the walkie talkie in the chapel so i took over and told them everything abt the chapel tt i knew which included the brothers memorial corner. Lucky Yikai nver tell ghost story. =P
My sis had her 1st holy communion too. it was quite a touching experience i have to admit. like me she was in rcic until p4 to take her communion so it was like a blast to the past. =P I thot that there was a bigger thing for the 1st communioners but it was like normal communion. I was honestly quite dissapointed cos when i was younger it was quite a big thing. i guess times change.
"I love you honey but i just cant make u smile." Its part of a game where ppl sit in a circle and one stands up, goes to another and says this. if the person smiles, he/she will have to be the next one to ask the question to someone else. the words may be a bit funny when said but it made me think. It was quite moving actually. Its like i love somebody but i cant make her smile.. wow.. imagine that.
I watched happy feet yesterday. Its one heck of a show. Its about penguins and how they are losing their source of food. they sing out their heart song to find love and a heart song is like a song u can relate to blahblahblah. many familiar tunes like 'somebody to love' by queen. So this guy, Mumble has a disability and cant sing because he was dropped when he was an egg by his dad, memphis (elvis pose). He doesnt have normal emp. penguin hair but he has a natural ability to dance REALLY well. tap dance actually. so the fish are dissapearing and mumble sets out to search why. With help by a couple of spanish penguins, he finds out about humans and he finds true love in the end even tho he cant sing. he also gets the humans to stop kiling the fish by forcing pity on them by dancin. Hidden message: Sometimes to do great things, you need to take a step back and forsake all luxuries. At the end, the reward is FAR greater than u can imagine. ALSO Everyone is different in their own special way even though its not noticeable. Everyonehas a different 'heartsong' but not everyone needs one to find love. AND dont eat too much fish! think abt the penguins! "I dont want to live in a world without penguins!" quoted from one UN guy in the show. FINALLY be urself even though others dont want you to be. No matter what, do not give up ur identity because people will like u for who you are, not who u SEEM to be.
WELL now thats done. Gotta run! Cheers!

Enactment Diary-19th Nov '06

Hello! markyc is back again!
Continue the story from 2 days ago.. yes SSS retreat. It felt good going back to my old alma mater to help ou with a P6 recollection. My bro was there and evrytime it was his recess, he would call me and ask where was I. (I have such a good brother!). I got recommended by the p6es to go for singapore idol... again. I wont enter singapore idol let me make it clear. I will take my band and get a recording contract alrite im not a loner singer! Anyway back to the topic. We met old friends like Don who is now in CJC and made new ones like Anne and Mag(donkey mag!!!). It was quite funny cos Don was always like nexto Anne in the explainin of things so i told dave tt they make such a lovely couple... then he started to say... wud u take thee, Anne, to be ur lawfully wedded wife blahblahblah. The 2nd day Don didnt come... sad. The SJI peeps also came and gave a rather half hearted talk. It was crappy (jus telling the truth mate! just telling the truth...). Then we played soccer and the objective was to...er... play. I was like.. no special rules? After tt we had mass witha really screwed up sound system (like just abt evrything else). Then THE END
My Dad and his Fiance are getting married on the 9th of Dec. Its gonna be quite fun i think. It will also get my dad out of his fianancial crisis. We bought our clothes for the wedding yesterday and a car fr forever use. Its my Dad's first.. NEW car. all his past cars were second hand. we got a Honada Airwave fr about 60k. There were a whole lot of other cars there like the new Mazda Mx-5 which is a real beauty. I also went crazy spotting toyota wishes on the roads. got the family quite irritated.. haha
Anyway. that is all the time i have for today! and remember! if yen can cook, so can you! zai jian!

Enactment Diary-17th Nov '06

I am writing this post on my brand new laptop I got last week (yes it has been that long). Its an ACER Aspire 5580WXMi. I have been trying to use the internet with it but all attempts have failed. Goes to show how crappy my wireless connection is. It doesnt stay connected and it is REALLY slow. This is actually my first time conected to the internet with it come to think of it.
Other things that has happened. I got camper of the year for PLTC 2006 about a week ago. Honestly, I dont know why I won actually, I did not 'try' to win it i was just being myself as a matter of fact. Since I did anyway, I have a $10 ben&jerry voucher and am willing to spend it with a couple of my friends next month most probably on the 4th or 6th. Use it at united square or something.
We also had a legion outing on wednesday. We had meeting on some rocks in the marina south park. It was a really nice place with a romantic athmosphere around it. When we prayed, it was as though God was present. The warmth of the sun on my face as i looked straight into the sky... It was noon but it was not hot at all. I teased joshua, asking him to come here with Angela =P. We then went bowling where i had pretty good runs until the last game when i had the luck of a hairless monkey. After an obscenely expensive coffee shop lunch, we went to play LAN i think. There, I plaed DOTA for the first time. Quite fun i have to admit. I had a good time then.
I dont have time to type in SSS retreat but i will tommorow so cheers till then!

Enactment Diary-4th Nov '06

Im back to blogging after a long break. The school holidays have started and ive been pretty busy lately. Just had a retreat that ended 2 days ago. Legion of Mary and St Vincent De Paul combined camp to be exact. Quite fun i must mention. We had a concert thing where each group had to make a skit and surprisingly, our group won first place. We also visited a Christian cemetary and an uber modern church called st Mary of the Angels. Serious stuff that church.
I also got my new glasses. This pair will be used for sports cos if i break my other ones which are oakley's, Mum will kill me =P so er.. yea. I think i'll just use this pair forever. I can like bend it and it wont go out of shape cos it is ruberized. Pretty cool huh?
Good thing i had those glasses cos i fell off my bike today at ECP near the roller blading ring. I was quite crowded so i had to sort of avoid crashing into anybody. Then there was this hump. I was turning to avoid another guy when i hit the bump. The negative G forces brought my steering a bit off the ground and it was still slanted in an angle and because the wheel was still spining, It gained grip when it landed and it brought my rear wheel around and the steering sort of spun 180. I am having a wound on my Knee at the moment with a deep scratch on my right elbow. O well then. Makes me a tougher man huh? =P Quite good fun actually to fall off a bike. call me crazy but when you do u'll understand what i mean.
Till next time i suppose. Cherio! =P

Enactment Input-21st Oct '06

Beauty may well be the most relative thing in the whole world. Everyone sees beauty in a different light, from different angles, with a different set of eyes. What is beauty to you?
It may seem obvius on what beauty is. Whatever the big screens throw at you will force you to believe that is beauty. ANYTHING the screen shows, you will believe. Think about it. Why do we want abs(for the guys) or 'nice' hair by hollywood standards? It blinds the eyes of your heart and the true beauty is lost.
The media is like that dumpster in the original Star Wars. It forces you into an even smaller place that seems to get smaller... and smaller... Imagine fiiting the world there. I forces you to see things in one perspective. This is why the world has such a myopic view of what human beauty is. It is also one reason why some people are ostrasized. to be ostrasized requires many people to be against you. Usually with same vision and why?
Think about it. Search deep down... what is beauty to you... only YOU

Enactment Diary-19th Oct 06

And finally after weeks of mugging and seemingly endless schooldays full of teacher's noise, the exams are over. That is something to be happy about and you should be glad too! Am hoping all of you did well, whatever a good grade is to you. As for me, I am celebrating 5A's in front of the computer. In English, Geography, Maths, Science, and Lit. I bet ur jealous now! HAHA!! ok just kidding.
Mum says that if it remains at least 4As for the final FINAL result, I will get a laptop. =D. Really cool. I have the coolest mum in the world. She and I are like one... fine not THAT far. We almost have the same taste of music and how many mothers go to more concerts than thier sons or daughters? Not Plays i mean CONCERTS. We are going for Lee Hom this Saturday with my aunt and i'm really looking forward to it. Im not a Lee Hom fan but for the sake of chinese man! (Which i failed btw...)
Next saturday (as in 28th), I'll be having Curia the same every last saturday of the month. First time in 2 months i'll be back in SJI which is not my Alma Mater! That name is reserved for a certain St. Patrick's School. Will be there in the usual hours (100-330).
Before I go off... You know that Stanley Warren guy> the POW who painted the murals in Changi Prison in WWII? Cool. Did you know that... His death date is also my birthday? Exact same day. The 20th of Febuary 1992. Pretty bizzare huh?

Enactment Diary-14th Oct 2006

I feel quite elevated today. Why? I was listening to 98.7 last night or something and they had S'pore top 10. Who's on top? SNOW PATROL with CHASING CARS! Which is a heck of a song. Might post it on my blog when my mum returns the CD.
Vengenre invited me to play habbo yesterday. Fine i invited myself but he er.. inspired me to do so. He planted the seed for a plant in my brain. What else grows in this head of mine? Mushrooms? maybe im housing little people. =P If you can you should check it out. Remember its Habbo Singapore not Habbo USA or something. They have more than enough users already.
Besides that it has been pretty boring. I just hope Alonso gets pole pos. next F1 race. Last one too. Quite dramatic especially for Schumi. I mean he's retiring already? Maybe he will race for the germans in A1 Grand Prix. Then every country there will suffer. Not like Singapore hasnt suffered enough in the A1. All the way for the ALL BLACK CAR!!! (team NZ). Alex Yoong's cool too come to think of it. Does the region proud...
ANYWAY, I'll continue bloggin 2moro. Cheers!

Enactment Input-13th Oct '06

To be completly empty only happens when you are dead and if you are reading this you shouldnt be dead. Emotion is a natural thing and is imposible to be empty of it. One can only feel numb. If you cannot feel it, doesnt mean it's not there. Besides, numbness is a side effect of sadness which, is an emotion too so how can one be empty?
There is no such thing as an evil emotion. All emotions are part of human nature and no matter how holy or evil you are, it will always be there. The only thing that makes it bad is how you act on it. Even love can be dangerous if acted on harshly. Anger should not be used to spread hate, in fact anger should be calmed not acted on.
Just a phrase.. Do not worry where your path may take you, but concentrate more on the journey. quote from cars :"In life, what matters is the journey not the destination." Cheers
